Manual Transfer Allocation
When to use manual transfers
Manual transfers are useful if you want full control and prefer to decide the amounts each time.
There is no automatic allocation in manual mode unless you set it during the transfer.
How to make a manual transfer
- Go to Transfer Money
- Select the bank account(s) you want to send money to
- Click Next
- Enter the amount for each account
Allocation rules (important)
- The total allocated amount must equal the transfer amount
- If the amounts do not add up, the system will show an error
Example
Total transfer: £20
Valid allocations:
£10 + £10
£19 + £1
Invalid allocation:
£19 + £0 (leaves £1 unallocated)
If any amount is unallocated, you will see an error message:
“Please allocate the full total selected accounts”
You must correct this before proceeding.
Notes
- If you select only one bank account, the allocation box will not appear.
- Allocation is only shown when multiple accounts are selected.
Summary
- Automatic transfers are best for regular, recurring splits
- Manual transfers are best for flexible, one-off decisions
- Always ensure 100% of the amount is allocated before confirming
