Connected Accounts is the register of every merchant on your platform. It is where you create a merchant, open its account to price it, fund it or verify it, and see which accounts are waiting on something from you. The three articles in this section cover creating and managing a merchant, the attention queue and its banners, and the payout limits you can tighten beneath NeroPay's hard caps.

Articles in this section

Article What it covers
Creating a merchant, and managing one The register and its filters, the five-step New connected merchant wizard, and every tab of the account panel from balances to deactivation
Accounts needing attention The Disputes, Transaction proof and Compliance counters, the three banners, stalled onboarding, and what each situation needs from you
Payout limits and hard caps The eight limit fields, platform defaults against per-account values, and why a limit can only ever be made stricter

💡 Note: What a merchant is charged is set on the account panel too, but the rules behind it are explained in How pricing works — who sets what rather than repeated here.

The three things to know

Rule Why it matters
You create the merchant; NeroPay verifies it The wizard opens the account, but KYC and any compliance action stay with NeroPay. The KYC column is not something you can set
An empty attention queue means nothing is outstanding The queue ignores date filters and leaves out closed cases and information already under review, so what you see is what still needs a response
Limits only move in one direction NeroPay sets the hard cap. Your platform default can lower it and a per-account value can lower it further, but nothing in NeroConnect can raise it

⚠️ Deactivating an account from the panel is a platform-side action and can be reversed. It does not override a separate compliance action taken by NeroPay.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I find a merchant's account?

Go to NeroConnect → Connected Accounts, search by business name, email, username, Merchant ID or NeroConnect Account ID, and press View on the row. The account panel slides in from the side.

Why does a merchant show Unverified when I have finished creating it?

Creating the account and verifying the merchant are two different steps. KYC is set by NeroPay, not by the platform, and runs after the wizard completes. Until it does, the KYC column reads Unverified.

Can I raise a merchant's payout limit above what NeroPay allows?

No. Both the platform defaults and the per-account fields can only make a limit stricter. Leave a field blank to inherit NeroPay's limit. See Payout limits and hard caps.

Does NeroConnect answer a dispute for my merchant?

No. Needs response means you are expected to chase the merchant so the required response is provided before the deadline shown. See Accounts needing attention.
