How to get there
From your terminal home screen, follow this path:
More → Checkout → Tips
Step 1 — Open the More menu
Tap the More button in the bottom-right corner of your terminal screen.
Step 2 — Go to Checkout
Select Checkout from the menu, then tap Tips.
Step 3 — Enable the Tips feature
Toggle the Tips feature to on.
Step 4 — Choose your tipping mode
Select the mode that best suits your business:
| Mode | How it works |
|---|---|
| Fixed Amount | Customers choose from preset fixed tip amounts |
| Percentage | Customers choose from preset percentage options |
| Smart Tips | NeroPay automatically suggests appropriate tip amounts based on the transaction |
Step 5 — Adjust your settings
Once you've selected a mode, adjust the settings to match your preference — such as setting the fixed amounts or percentages you want to offer customers.
⚠️ Note: Tips settings apply to all transactions processed through this terminal. If you have multiple terminals, you will need to configure tips on each one separately.
Frequently asked questions
Q: Where do tips appear in my reports? A: Tips are recorded separately in your transaction reports. You can view them under [Transactions overview] in your NeroPay dashboard.
Q: Can I turn tips off after enabling them? A: Yes. Follow the same steps and toggle the Tips feature off at any time.
Q: Can I offer all three tipping modes at once? A: No — you can only select one tipping mode at a time. Choose the one that best suits your customers.
