Setup Card Terminal

Steps to Set Up

  1. When you receive the device, insert the battery and plug the provided cable into the port with the lightning bolt symbol to power the reader. Press the Power button to switch on the device.
  2. After switching on for the first time, you will be prompted to connect to a Wi-Fi network. Connect to your Wi-Fi network.

Your Wi-Fi network MUST USE WPA-Personal or WPA2-Personal encryption and be password protected. The BBPOS WisePOS E DOES NOT SUPPORT non-password-protected networks, enterprise networks, or IPV6 networks.

  1. Generate a pairing code (e.g., Tang-Peace-Man) from the settings page on the terminal.
  2. Connect the reader to your account. Open the NeroPAY dashboard and navigate to MERCHANT - Terminal Settings - Register Terminal . Insert the code under the Registration Label and connect.
  3. You can configure your NeroPAY WisePOS CCD to work on either :
  4. Reader mode (Connect Terminal with external NeroPAY POS device or Web App)
  5. Standalone mode (POS built-in to the Terminal).



Connecting Reader via Wi-Fi

  1. Swipe right from the left edge of the reader screen to reveal a Settings button.
  2. Tap the Settings button and enter the admin PIN 07139 .
  3. From here, you can update your WiFi settings or generate a pairing code for device registration.
  4. Battery status is displayed at the top right of this screen. To close the settings menu, click the back arrow in the top left corner.

Accessing Settings

To connect to WiFi or switch networks, go to settings, then select WiFi settings to choose the network and connect. Attempting to join a new network disconnects the reader from any existing wireless connection.
